ANKARA, June 28 (Reuters) – Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe discussed speeding up construction of a nuclear power plant in the Black Sea province of Sinop in a telephone call on Thursday, a Turkish presidential source said.
Ankara signed an agreement in 2013 with a Japanese-French consortium to build the Sinop nuclear plant, which will be Turkey’s second. The first plant is being built at Akkuyu on Turkey’s southern coast.
