The ASN said it had given approval for EDF to restart reactors 2, 3 and 4. The four reactors have been offline since September as the ASN had ordered EDF to strengthen the dike of of its cooling water supply canal.
Dominique Miniere, the head of EDF’s nuclear fleet, told reporters at the UFE electricity conference that a first reactor could restart as early as Wednesday, and the next two reactors in the coming days. He said he expected the fourth reactor to start up by the end of the month.
